Cost?

  • All food and lodging and in country travel - $2000 per person for 12 days
  • Cost of your airline ticket
  • Any incidentals for soveniers (there will be time to shop)
  • ***Arranging gorilla or chimp excursions will be considerably more.

Weather

🌞 Climate Summary

Northern Uganda has a tropical climate with distinct dry and wet seasons and generally warm to hot conditions year-round.

☀️ Dry Season (Best Travel Time)
  • December to February is the main dry season in the north, with very little rainfall.
  • Daytime temperatures often rise above 30 °C (86 °F), and skies are mostly sunny.
  • This is generally the most comfortable and reliable time for travel and wildlife viewing.
🌦️ Wet Season
  • March through November brings the wet season in northern Uganda, with the bulk of the region’s annual rainfall.
  • Rain tends to be heavier and more frequent, especially in the central and eastern parts of the region, making some roads and tracks challenging.
🌡️ Typical Temperatures
  • Hot and dry months see daytime highs up to ~30-33 °C (86-91 °F).
  • Nights are cooler but still warm, especially in dry periods.
🌍 Regional Variation
  • Northern Uganda is generally hotter and drier compared to the central and southern parts of the country due to its lower rainfall and more savanna-like landscape.
  • ✅ In short: Travelers can expect hot, dry conditions with abundant sunshine during the dry season (Dec–Feb) — ideal for safaris and cultural visits. The wet season (Mar–Nov) brings rain and greener landscapes but can make travel slower.

What you will encounter or expect?


  1. Meet the children and mothers we help everyday - the only requirement is that you love on them like you can (it's easy).
  2. See the sights and sounds of Uganda's remotest bush locations.
  3. A brief service project - helping them to be better
  4. delivering equipment for the new schools
  5. river baptisms participation
  6. eating with the villagers in the native food
  7. giving hugs away for free!
  8. Last two days are dedicated to seeing the wildlife of Africa in Murchison Falls and up the Nile River.
