Amigos Medical and Doctors on Mission International unite volunteer medical professionals from around the world to deliver free medical care, surgical missions, and humanitarian relief in some of the world’s most underserved regions. Since 1967, Amigos Internacionales has worked to transform lives through healthcare, education, clean water, and sustainable development, with a special focus on Uganda, South Sudan, and Burundi.

✨ Our Impact in 2025

  • Ogul Medical Mission (Gulu District, Uganda):
    ✅ 1,500 patients treated in 3 days
    ✅ 450 received dental care (320 extractions, 130 restorations)
    ✅ 418 cancer screenings (with early detections in breast, cervical & prostate cancers)
    ✅ 400 patients received eye care, including 20 cataract surgeries & 80 scheduled at Gulu Regional Hospital
    ✅ 1,160 cardiology screenings, detecting multiple heart conditions
  • Burpong Medical Mission (Lamwo District, Uganda):
    ✅ 5,163 patients reached in 3 days
    ✅ 142+ surgeries including general & specialized operations
    ✅ 526+ eye surgeries and over 700 eyeglasses distributed
    ✅ 2,600+ cancer screenings and preventive health education
    ✅ 35% of patients were South Sudanese refugees
  • Buhweju Eye Surgical Mission (Southwestern Uganda):
    ✅ 1,650 people reached in 1 week
    ✅ 270 life-changing eye surgeries (cataract, glaucoma, corneal, strabismus)
    ✅ 1,500 eyeglasses distributed
    ✅ Patients saved from blindness at no cost—restoring hope & dignity
  • Mission Burundi 2025 (Planned):
    🎯 Goal: Treat         20,000 patients in 4 days
    🎯 Services: General medicine, surgery, pediatrics, dental, cancer screening, cardiology, physiotherapy, immunization, nutrition & evangelism
    🎯 Focus: Reaching communities where healthcare access is nearly impossible
