Zakaria’s Story
Zakaria is a boda boda driver from the small village of Sayu, Tanzania. For years, his motorcycle was how he provided for his wife and survived day by day.
Then the pain began.
What started as a hitching pain in his back slowly became swelling. As the months passed, the tumor continued to grow, and the pain became unbearable.
Desperate for healing, Zakaria and his wife spent everything they had.
They sold their motorcycle.
They sold their possessions.
They traveled from place to place searching for help.
They visited doctors.
They visited witch doctors.
Nothing worked.
The pain remained.
The swelling continued to grow.
And hope slowly disappeared.
Then Pastor Adam from Sayu Baptist Church came to visit Zakaria in his home.
He prayed with him.
He shared the Gospel.
And in the middle of suffering and uncertainty, Zakaria gave his life to Jesus Christ.
Today, Zakaria still needs urgent medical treatment.
We are now trying to raise $5,000 to transport him to a hospital in Mbarara, Uganda where he can receive evaluation, testing, and compassionate medical care.
We believe Jesus is still the healer.
Sometimes healing comes through miracles.
Sometimes it comes through the hands of doctors, medicine, and people willing to help.
We brought Zakaria the Living Water of Christ.
Now we are praying we can help bring healing to his body as well.
1. THE PAIN BEGAN
What started as back pain slowly became severe swelling and a growing tumor. Day after day, the pain worsened, making even simple daily life difficult for Zakaria and his family.
2. EVERYTHING WAS SOLD
Desperate to find healing, Zakaria and his wife sold their motorcycle, possessions, and livelihood searching for help. They visited doctors and witch doctors, spending everything they had, but nothing stopped the pain.
3. HOPE ARRIVED
Pastor Adam from Sayu Baptist Church visited Zakaria, prayed with him, and shared the hope of Jesus Christ. In the middle of suffering and uncertainty, Zakaria gave his life to Christ — and now we are praying for healing and compassionate medical care.
