Standing With Our Doctors · DRC Response

Our medical team is on the front lines of the Congo Ebola outbreak.

Dr. Paul Mulyamboga and the Doctors on Mission International team are deployed in Ituri Province — treating patients, training healthcare workers, and containing the 17th Ebola outbreak in Congo's history. We need Tyler behind them.

What's happening

On May 15, 2026, the DRC declared its 17th Ebola outbreak — Bundibugyo strain, for which there is no approved vaccine and no approved treatment. The WHO declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern May 16. Historical case fatality rates: 30–50%.

Our Doctors on Mission International medical team was already in East Africa when the outbreak began. Amigos Internacionales has worked in this region for 59 years. We didn't need to fly a team in — they went to work.
